5 Months Later...

I think this will be my last report...sorry for the delay. I've been in PA all summer doing follow up with doctors here. All are pleased with my progress. My leg is coming along, especially after starting to wear a bone-growth stimulator to speed up the process. I've noticed less soreness and less limp the last few weeks. My mouth/teeth are still sore but that is to be expected for several more months because of the nerve damage. My wound finally closed completely about a week ago. Praise the Lord for no infections. Plans are to return to Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea in October, Lord willing. Thanks for all your prayers that have sustained me over these past 5 months! I'm looking forward to returning to our new ministry...serving the community of missionary families in PNG.

Also a huge praise that just this coming Tuesday, Sept 8, Steve Geis will finally be getting the external frame off his leg!! This is a huge answer to prayer that his bones have finally grown enough to be able to support himself without the frame. He continues therapy and plans to return to Ukarumpa as soon as he's able.

Steve is OUT!

In an update from the Geis', they say that it was a crazy week. Tracy had another appointment with the jaw dr. Please pray that the rubber band traction will permanently put the jaw in the right alignment so she won't need another operation. Steve got out of the hospital on Wednesday which he was VERY happy about but it is quite a challenging time transitioning to Treetops (hotel) where his care and functioning take Tracy's every moment. He is beginning to walk but it is very painful since his "good leg" is the one with the broken femur. She is grateful for a visiting nurse that comes every other day to clean and dress the pin sites on the external frame on his leg. The nurse is also very good at answering questions that arise. Steve's dad arrives again from CA on Tuesday to help out. Steve deals with a lot of pain and frustration every day. They are both pretty exhausted but thankful to be together now. They ask that you would continue to pray for them. Their address is tracy_geis@sil.org if you'd like to write them.

Back in Ukarumpa

We had a wonderful reunion on Wednesday when we arrived back in Ukarumpa. The travels all went well and it was so much fun to be greeted by the girls and many others. The annual event of BANQUET is over and was a huge success for the 11th & 12th graders.

I would really appreciate continued prayer. My mouth is not healing very fast. The gums/teeth are still quite sore and tender. Plus I need to keep doing my exercises to stretch my jaw open more. On top of that, I've come down with a very sore throat! I am a bit discouraged so I'd appreciate your prayers.

Looking to the Lord for His healing touch. Kim

Last update from Australia

The day surgery went better than anticipated. Thanks for praying. We are clear to go. My mouth is a bit sore but nothing that panadol and ibuprofen don't help. I'm still getting around with crutches (and sometimes one crutch) for shorter distances.

As we transition to Ukarumpa for a month, we'd appreciate prayer. We will sort of "hit the ground runnin'"...well at least Tim will to an extent with Banqet preparations and getting up to speed somewhat with his new job in the director's office. Graduation is June 16 and we leave Ukarumpa for PA on June 22...arriving on the 25th I believe.

Today we are just finishing up some last minute stuff and then we catch an EARLY flight having to wake up tomorrow at 4:30!!

Thanks for sticking with us and continuing to pray for our travel, healing and transition.

Big Week Ahead

It's Sunday evening here in Australia. Tomorrow morning I go to Day Surgery before 7am (5pm Sun. EST) to get my metal bars out of my mouth and at the same time, the dr. is going to stretch my jaw open! Yiks! It's a 15 min. procedure but I am under anesthesia. If all goes as planned, we will leave for Ukarumpa on Wednesday morning. We are SO looking forward to that reunion with Kayla & Kacie...and very thankful to be back for the big annual event of "Banquet". Thank you for yor continued prayers.

Results

We haven't heard the report from the leg xrays yet...

The appointment with the face/jaw dr. was an all day process that's why I didn't write until now. This morning he had me take off my rubberbands for 8 hours and return at 6pm for him to see how things lined up after a period of "freedom". He was pleased but not quite ready to let me go this week. He gave me some physical therapy to work on looseing my jaw so I can open it wider in preparation for EATING!! Yeah! He did think it was a good possibility that I could return to Ukarumpa on Wednesday the 27th of next week.

We were really hoping to return on Friday (22nd) of this week to cheer on Kayla and our other "kids" at Sports Days (Fri & Sat). Kacie will video and cheer for us since she is on the sidelines from her knee surgery and we'll be able to watch the races later. We are THRILLED, however, that it looks like we'll be able to be present for the annual "Banquet" (prom) that the girls will attend next Friday the 29th.

Thanks for praying and waiting with us. The dr. was sure about us waiting until next week and quite confident about us leaving next week too. God's timing is perfect. This "delay" will allow us a few more physical therapy visits too.

Continue to pray that my teeth would line up correctly and that I'd be able to stretch open my jaw and that my foot/leg would also heal and stretch to be able to walk properly. Also that our travel day, Lord willing, next Wednesday would go smoothly.

THANK YOU is not enough to say...but we appreciate you all so much and are grateful to the Lord for carrying us through to this point!! Love, Kim

Monday/Tuesday Appointments

Please be in prayer for my appointment with the face/jaw dr. on Tuesday morning. This is Monday suppertime on the east coast. He will be making a decision whether the metal bars are ready to come off or not...meaning that the jaw/teeth are in alignment etc. I'm really anxious to get them off of course, but want the dr. to be "confidently-convinced" that it is ready! :)

On Monday I will get an xray of my leg to check on the healing progress at the 6 week mark.

These 2 appointments will help give us an indication of when we can return to Ukarumpa. Please pray for wisdom for these decisions and healing along the way.

Thanks so much for so many of you praying "continually". Love, Kim

I've graduated...

Just wanted to let you all know that I've "graduated" from a walker to elbow cruthes today. I'm gradually getting more confidence and flexibility in my foot/leg and putting more weight on my leg. For long distances I'm still in a wheelchair but for short walks, I'll do the crutches now. Early next week (6 wk. mark) I'll get an xray of my leg for the dr. to see how the healing is coming along. Please pray that the healing is taking place well and that I can get the metal bars in my mouth removed on Tuesday.

Steve has also "graduated" from only being allowed to sit at a 45 degree angle for the past 5 1/2 weeks to this morning being able to sit at 90 degrees allowing him to go outside in a wheelchair for a little walk and fresh air! What a praise!

Please pray for Tracy too as her jaw/mouth is also still in repair. She has different issues than I do and the dr. isn't exactly sure how to help her. Pray for God's wisdom for him as he has not treated this exact kind of injury before, which is a little unsettling, pray for peace for Tracy and confidence in the Lord as her creator and healer.

Blessings to you all.

Some good news...

Hi everyone...today we both had appts. with the physical therapist. I am to put more and more weight on my bad leg. It's sort of mind over matter...being convinced that it can take it like the PT says it can. :) It is still swollen but I am to keep it moving and stretching and bearing more weight. Please pray for improvement. Tim is gaining more range in shoulder movement each day. We also had an appt. with a dentist for him to evaluate what needs to be done and to our surprise he gave me a new smile!! He "shaved" off the chipped parts and put some bonding stuff on them so they look SO much better. He said I will need to get crowns when we're back in Lancaster this summer, but for now, the dental work is done. The metal bars in my mouth will be removed either tomorrow or next Tuesday depending on the progress. Please pray that the jaw/teeth will stay aligned. Kelly made me some good chicken/brocolli in the blender last night.

Steve Geis did have more surgery...toe and knee cap. It was worse than expected and he had a tough day following. Please pray for encouragement and continued progress from here on out.

Thanks for continuing to remember us. It's been almost 5 1/2 weeks now since the accident. We've appreciated all your prayers, cards and emails of encouragement.

Also pray for Kelsey as she is facing her last week of exams and finishing papers at LBC.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
(new lesson for me...that I wanted to pass on) Rejoicing comes BEFORE the gladness. The rejoicing is in GOD making the DAY, not in our finding something to be glad about. We are rejoicing and many days even finding something to be glad about too...like a new smile!

Australian Arrival

Hello, Faithful Blog Readers. This is Kim's sister, Kelly.

Tim picked me up at the airport 26 hours ago...after 33 hours of travel. We're hopeful that my luggage will catch up with me by the end of today. For some reason, it got held up in CHICAGO!

I'm so grateful that Tim's sling came off before I got here so he's able to drive. Learning to drive on the other side of the road may have been a bit too far out of my comfort zone.

As we arrived at the door of their efficiency apartment, we could hear Kim scooting to the door with her walker. Needless to say, it was so good to finally see her with my own eyes and greet her with a gentle hug. After carefully surveying her various battle wounds, their mission for the remainder of the day was to keep me busy so I could stay awake until 10:00p or so in order to have the best chance of adjusting to the 14-hour time change. They succeeded by taking me to the open air fresh fruit/veggie market where we strolled Kim around in the wheelchair to select some yummy produce for concocting some nutritional smoothies and soups over the next couple weeks. We then went to the mall for a few supplies then back to the apartment.

While I kept busy putting away groceries and taking inventory in the kitchen, Kim & Tim rested. Neither of them have been sleeping too well. Continue to pray that their rest will be sweet and uninterrupted. Tim prepared dinner by going to the local Thai restaurant and bringing us some rather warm entrees. I was surprised how much blended Thai food Kim could eat through a straw.

Apparently the dry month of April is giving birth to a rather wet May. The weather has kept us from getting out much today, but it has provided some beautiful sights for Tim to capture with his camera. His new found freedom of motion in his right arm is allowing him to pick up his camera and get some stunning photos of the lush surroundings right outside our door.

We've enjoyed some good conversation, listening to Chris Tomlin (Kim loves his latest release, "I Will Rise"), practicing physical therapy motion, massaging, mixing up a yummy smoothy and new flavored soup, reading God's Word and some more encouraging cards. It is evident that Tim & Kim are trusting God through this difficult time and seeking His strength and wisdom.

Thanks for praying. Ooo...it's stopped raining, so we're going to "get out" for a little while this afternoon.

Tuesday Dr. Reports: Somewhat "Freeing"

We had a long tiring wait for the face dr. to take 1 minute to clip the bands in my mouth. It was quite painful to be set free for the first few hours. I went home and napped with some meds and wasn't able to make it to the physical therapy appt. At the end of the afternoon, he wanted to see me back to make sure things stayed in place. He was very pleased and put looser bands in now to maintain for another week. Now I can open a little wider for "chunkier" foods, but still no chewing. He sounded quite confident that he would take the metal bars out next week and see me in one more week. So if all goes as planned, I'll be done with the face dr. on May 19th and then can start the dental work on my banged up teeth.

Tim saw his surgeon and he was freeed from his sling after 6 weeks. Now he is doing physical therapy to get the range of motion and strength back in his shoulder and bicep. Dr. & PT were both pleased with his initial start.

Our prayer requests continue to be for healing of Tim's shoulder/bicep, Kims leg/walking and face/teeth injuries. My foot is very stiff after not using it making it difficult to "walk" properly. Pray that we will do the necessary exercising to help our progress but not do too much.

We are sleeping a bit better but Tim has a cold now, so that doesn't help. The last 2 nights now, I've managed to only take meds once in the middle of the night...eventhough we wake up more often than that.

Krista & Andy left early this morning and my other sister Kelly will arrive on Friday. That has been such a blessing to have their help and encouragement close by.

We are grateful for this time of recovery and all of your prayers, emails, cards have been so meaningful to us. All of our girls seems to be doing well. Kelsey is in her final days, finishing the year at LBC next Wed. I'm sure she'd appreciated your prayers. We talk to Kayla & Kacie in Ukarumpa periodically and they are being well taken care of too. Hope continues to enjoy her kennel work. We can't wait to all be together this summer, Lord willing.

Pray for wisdom for us to know when the right timing to return to Ukarumpa would be.

Steve and Tracy Geis

We know a lot of people are praying for the Geis'as well, so we wanted to give an update on them. Tracy had surgery for a broken jaw and has been out of the hospital for severl weeks. She is the primary caregiver for Steve; however, she is still dealing with subtantial issues with her teeth and jaw. She is needing signifigant orthodonic work to realign her jaw. Steve is facing 2 more unexpected surgeries next week, one on his big toe and the other, his knee cap. He is still flat on his back due to his seriously injured legs and hip. He will probably be non-weight-bearing for another 3 + weeks. Steve is in good spirits, remarkable attitude, still can only think day-to-day due to the long-range picture being too overwhelming. Please continue to pray for healing for both of them.

Today was Kim's first physical therapist appt. He recognized us from a month ago because he was working on Kacie after her knee surgery and wondered why Kim's name was on the appt. list. The therapist started with a GREAT foot massage to reduce the swelling, thought it would be nice for Tim to do this each day for Kim. He gave Kim excersises to do a couple of times a day. Because it is a holiday weekend in Australia, both Kim and Tim have a couple of appts. on Tuesday. So the next few days will be R & R, this afternoon she enjoyed sitting by the pool, in the shade taking a snooze.

Leg Dr. Visit & Decision to Make

We saw the ortho. dr. this morning and overall he was happy with the progress. The swelling I still have is typical. The gash I have near my ankle is slow healing but typical also. I can start bearing weight now with the walker/crutches, but my foot doesn't exactly want to bend so I'm starting therapy tomorrow to learn how to get back to walking properly.

The dr. says my foot is turned 5-10%. I know I was naturally that way already :) but he's not sure if it's the same or "worse". The decision to be made is whether to have the minor surgery to correct the look of my leg/foot or leave it alone. The time to do it is NOW if I want to. If I don't, he said there is no complications from leaving it alone, it's simply "cosmetic". I would have the same functionality etc. So...right now, I'm inclined to leave it! I never had awesome legs before anyway!! :) Pray that through therapy and starting to put weight etc. I can discern which choice to make over the weekend.

I'm feeling pretty good this afternoon. Sleeping well at night and getting "comfortable" sitting/laying is still an issue and trying to figure out which drugs are good to use for pain.

A friend shared this verse with me and it's my #1 favorite right now...My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

Love to all, Kim

Positive Dr.'s Appt. PTL!

So today was a good day at the Dr's, her jaw is progressing nicely. Kim will have another Dr's appt. in a week and the Dr. may possibly replace tight rubber bands with looser ones. The bands would then be on at least two more weeks, but it may allow Kim to eat just a bit more soft foods. We have been having fun giving Kim the choice of which dry soup in a box she would be in the mood for, Continental brand is the "soup of choice"! As of now we have been having to strain 2x to get the liquid thing enough for her "banded" shut mouth. She has an incredible attitude, but continues to not be overly hungry and is a patient, patient. Please pray for her leg appt. tomorrow, Thurs. at 11:15 Aus. time (9:15 pm eastern on Wed) and to find out what rehab she can be working on.
Tim is doing well, he is at 5 wks. 3 days since his surgery. He is on, almost, no pain medicine and is still the MOST uncomfortable at night (along with Kim), so please continue to pray for both to be getting a more well rested sleep. Tim will be having his 6 week appt. next Tues. to see if he can be done wearing the sling and to varify, the accident has NOT caused any other complications to the healing of his shoulder. Again, thanks to all who have been praying, no doubt the prayers are felt across the MANY miles. - Krista

Dr.'s Appts. coming up!

Ok, so it is Tuesday 4:45 pm and most of you on the East coast are in deep REM sleep, getting ready for your Tuesday morning. Not much new to report on, but that Kim has a few Dr's appt. coming up...tomorrow(Wed. for us) will be her face/jaw appt. and Thursday (for us) will be checking her leg. Please pray that the Dr.'s would be able to give guidance with the pain management so that it may not be as "up and down" as its been (even though that is too be expected). Also, that she would know what kind of stretches/rehab she could be doing while she is out of the hospital, but in a nice facility to recover before returning to PNG. Today has been a bit slower than yesterday, but at this moment we are waiting to head out the door and wheel her around a boardwalk-type walk and enjoy God's beauty. Continue to pray for each of their girls' Hope, Kelsey (Lanc, PA), Kayla, and Kacie (PNG) as they are apart as a family and of course desire to be together at this time.

Monday, April 27, 2009

I had a much better day today than Sunday. Thanks for praying. The pain that remains is mostly in my mouth...just really tight/sore feeling...probably sort of like braces I guess. Tim is trying to get me "down" to extra strength tylenol (liquid) so that I don't have the nasty side effects of heavier pain relievers. Pray that it works enough. It still is tough to get comfortable...probably cause all I do is sit or lay for a few more weeks. Your comments are so encouraging to me...(Michelle, you're a riot!) They took me on an outing to the mall this afternoon. It was pretty enjoyable but a bit tiring...yes, even for me! :) Love to all!! Tim keeps reminding me...when I get a bit down...this circumstance we find ourselves in is NO mistake. I know that, but to be honest, don't exactly like it...but knowing God is in control and working all things for HIS glory, is GOOD enough for me!!

The roller-coaster ride continues...

Hello, everyone, this is Krista again typing an update. After a really good day yesterday (Sat), today has been a rather rough day. Please pray that she would have a better nights sleep (Sun. night, she just crawled in bed). Pray she wouldn't be too interupted between taking medicine and the bathroom in the middle of the night. She was dealing with a little nausesness and couldn't really get comfortable most of the day. Tim has been a GREAT caretaker and they both have wonderful attitudes as it continues to be a slow-go, which is normal. Please pray for some up-coming Dr. follow-up appointments this week and that Andrew and I can be of support, help, and encouragement.

3 Weeks Today

Hi Everyone. This is Kim writing!! These past 3 weeks have been a blur but I know you have all carried me through with your prayers. This has been the best day yet! I actually got wheeled down the street from our hotel to a sidewalk cafe for supper. I had to pass on the lasagna but had some good soup to sip through my clenched teeth. My mouth is like a sieve, so anything I eat has to be totally smooth, no chunks at all.

I've been able to moderate my pain medicine from every 4 hours to every 5 hours and take a 3/4 dose instead of a full one. It worked for today anyway...so hopefully we're on to something.

It looks like a nursing home in our room with all the paraphanalia I need...Tim is taking great care of me and I'm encouraged with my progress today. Sure doesn't hurt having my youngest sister and brother in law here to laugh and help.

Night is my least favorite time, but I can't complain. I'm just used to sleeping very well. I go to sleep around 10:30 and sleep until around 3, take some meds and go back to bed. I sleep on my back which isn't my favorite. When I wake up, I'm super stiff. But my pain has been under control the past 24 hours.

Thanks for praying. We are resting in the Lords care. Love to all, Kim

RESTING!

This is Kim's sister, Krista, and we are so excited to be here in Cairns to help out Kim and Tim. Andrew and I just arrived here this afternoon from Colorado. We will be here until May 6th hoping to update the blog for the one-handed typer.

Kelsey got home safely and was a huge help to her parents. Please pray for her to get back into the "swing" of classes and to finish her sophmore well!

Kim had a very good day on Thursday; however, today needed to stay on "top" of the pain medicine a little better. Pray that they would find a balance of the right dosage of pain medicine. She continues to struggle finding that correct balance and timing to take the medicine. Little bit of a roller coaster as far as how much and the accuracy in the timing of taking pain meds. We are looking forward to going to the store and finding things to be creative for her liquid diet as her jaw is wired shut. However, we sisters, are still able to talk!

Also, continue to pray Tim's shoulder would to heal as he still has pain and still takes meds (quite reduced). Also, pray that sleeping would improve as the pain is the worst when laying down.

Thanks again for all your prayers!

Good Day!!!

Kim had a pretty good end of the day yesterday! It was a rough morning but got better when she got the good news that her surgery went well and better than expected. Her swelling has gone way down and she isn’t wearing the sunglasses (to help with the light sensitivity). The Doctor said that they did everything that needed to be done her jaw was pushed about 6-7 mm back. They were able to bring it forward and when they did all of the fractures lined up perfectly. So now she is wired shut for 6 weeks! The Doc said that her jaw acted like a shock absorber and did what it was designed to do. We continue to see improvement every day! The doc said he wanted her to try not to write as much he wanted her to talk as much as possible even though it’s seems to her that she is hard to understand. She walked with a walker today. And she is off the IV drip and is trying to manage the pain in her ear with oral pain medication (liquid form). The Surgeon thought the pain was associated with the surgery as many muscles connect in the ear area but the ENT Doctor is going to check just in case. She was cleared to leave the Hospital by the face surgeon and the orthopedic surgeon. Just waiting on physiotherapy to feel comfortable with her walking and pain management. Just found out she needs to see the ENT Doctor tomorrow at noon which means shes here at least another day. Keep Praying!

Good Night Sleep!

Yesterday was better than the day before! She had a good sleep last night. Kim’s looking cool in her sun glasses! (Light sensitive) She’s getting a bit antsy about getting out of here! Kim had an earache yesterday which is feeling a bit better today but comes and goes. Pray for a quiet day as her neighbors tend to be a little noisy at times. Currently we are waiting for the doctor to come tell us about her surgery the past Friday. Pray for a good update.

Hard to believe its been 2 weeks since the accident...

It was a long day for Kim but it ended well. She didn’t have a very good night last night. She was in and out of sleep all day today. She communicated through writing and a few small words. Her jaw is still really tight. She had mentioned that there has been “perfect timing” all week! We can feel the prayers! The swelling has gone way down and she is looking a lot better! She is able to eat through a straw and has been doing pretty well with that. While she can’t say much she is very aware and thinking clearly and she still has a sense of humor. She moved to a different room that will cut down on noise to help her sleep better. Pray for a good night sleep.

Post Surgery!!!

Ok yesterday was busy and I didn’t get a chance to fill you in on all the good news!!! Kim’s surgery went well! They did everything they needed to! She went in around 8:30 and was out around 1:15. It was encouraging to see improvement every hour. After a bit, we learned that she could communicate by writing. It was really quite impressive how nice her handwriting was with her eyes closed! By the time we left Kim was holding the note pad and she even tried to say a few words! So now she has a button she can press when she is in pain and sleeps a lot. Kim wrote that it was a long night she mentioned that her jaw feels tight and everything is very bright and loud. She said that it’s a little scary knowing that she is limited. She is glad to know that all her surgeries are done but it will be a few more long days of recovery. As I said before, she will be released from the hospital when she is able to walk with a walker or crutches. Pray that she would regain strength and be out of the hospital Monday or Tuesday!

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Surgery Tomorrow

Ok, well it was a very good day for Kim! She was able to walk/hop to the bathroom/shower with the use of a walker multiple times! Another first is she sat up in a chair all afternoon. She really looked good.

Her surgery is scheduled for early tomorrow morning (Friday morning). They are working on her jaw and facial fractures all in one surgery. There needs to be a perfect alignment of her teeth. Pray for Kim as she is looking forward to the surgery to be over with. Pray for peace!

They are hoping to discharge her early next week! The only thing holding her back right now i the strength in her legs and arms. They want her to be able to walk with a walker or crutches as well as maintaining a liquid/soft diet. (This shouldn't be a problem as her friend Tracy Geis who was also in the accident is on the same diet.) So it looks like she will remain in Cairns for a minimum of 6 weeks. She will have multiple doctors visits during that time.

All but one of the Calvary team is heading home tomorrow. We are grateful that they came. Pray for us that we will be an encouragement to Kim as she will be restarting the recovery process.

Big Day!!!

Today was a really good day for Kim. She successfully took 6 steps with a walker but then got tired and had to sit down. This was a huge accomplishment even the nurses were surprised! We were all excited! Praise the Lord her facial surgery was scheduled "privately" for Friday morning which means it is most likely going to happen. We don't have all the details and will let you know when we hear more!

Tim was having some weird symptoms and went back to the doctor today where we discovered one of his pain meds was capable of causing these side effects. They did a cat scan just to be sure there was no damage to his head from the accident. Everything checked out ok! He dropped the meds and started the new ones tonight. The doctor is confident that will be enough.

Thanks for your prayers

Postponed again...

Well unfortunately surgery didn’t happen again today. It was kind of discouraging for all. Kim also had a migraine and slept a lot. Hopefully tomorrow will be better! Thanks for your prayers!

Time Zones!!!

Ok so there seems to be a little confusion with the time zones! So right now as I type, dad is on his way to the hospital It is 9:00 Tuesday morning in Australia 7:00 pm Monday night in Lancaster...not sure how long she will be in but I will go in later this afternoon when surgery is complete! So when you all are waking up hopefully I will have another update! Thanks for all your prayers!

No Surgery Today...Tomorrow Morning?

I'm sitting in the hospital with Mom right now! Unfortunately her face surgery has been pushed back till tomorrow morning. She has already had two leg surgeries to take care of the compound fractures in her tibia and fibia in her right leg. This past Saturday she started to feel more coherent due to less medicine. Sunday was the best day so far it was the first time she got out of bed and had her first shower. Last night was the best uninterrupted sleep. Today she had a nice pampering from two friends from church who were a part of the team sent to assist the injured. She is anxious to have this next surgery completed even though it’s hard to think about another short term recovery period. Tim Spends his days visiting Kim and his friend Steve, doing paperwork and enjoys reading all the letters and emails and sharing them with Kim. His shoulder and lower back are feeling sore. He’s enjoyed the good Aussie food. Kelsey has enjoyed being with Mom and Dad and enjoying the warm sunny weather!

I'm here!

Well I finally made it to Australia! Dad picked us up at the airport and shortly after that we went to see Mom at the hospital! It was so good to finally see both of them! It was a big day for mom, She got out of bed for the first time in over a week! You can be praying for mom her facial surgery was moved up to tomorrow, 4pm Monday afternoon. I am exhausted and ready to go to sleep! Big day tomorrow!!
