3 Weeks Today

Hi Everyone. This is Kim writing!! These past 3 weeks have been a blur but I know you have all carried me through with your prayers. This has been the best day yet! I actually got wheeled down the street from our hotel to a sidewalk cafe for supper. I had to pass on the lasagna but had some good soup to sip through my clenched teeth. My mouth is like a sieve, so anything I eat has to be totally smooth, no chunks at all.

I've been able to moderate my pain medicine from every 4 hours to every 5 hours and take a 3/4 dose instead of a full one. It worked for today anyway...so hopefully we're on to something.

It looks like a nursing home in our room with all the paraphanalia I need...Tim is taking great care of me and I'm encouraged with my progress today. Sure doesn't hurt having my youngest sister and brother in law here to laugh and help.

Night is my least favorite time, but I can't complain. I'm just used to sleeping very well. I go to sleep around 10:30 and sleep until around 3, take some meds and go back to bed. I sleep on my back which isn't my favorite. When I wake up, I'm super stiff. But my pain has been under control the past 24 hours.

Thanks for praying. We are resting in the Lords care. Love to all, Kim

  1. Praying for your complete and speedy recovery. Morris ( my nephew)and Kelly have me in the loop. God will supply all your needs. He has a reason for allowing this season of distress in your lives but I am confident that He will make you stronger for it. Have added you to my Friday prayer list along with Morris and Kelley and Family. How good it is to belong to the Family of God!

  6. Hey great to hear that things were better today. Hope & I just got back from special Olympics in Kutztown. Their basketball team got third & it looks like they are going to Penn State for the finals. Tim's parent's & brother & sister-in-law were there too. We had a great time watching & talking together. We will keep praying for a quick recovery for you both. Angie

  7. It's exciting to see you updating the blog. I have been praying for you and Tim quite often trusting the Lord to do "abundantly beyond what you can think or ask." (Eph. 3:14-21). I'm still feeling the effects of jet lag, but am glad to be home. By now you know that Kelsey and I are famous - recognized on Ellen as "the people sitting in front of us" by the 3 kiwis.

Lots of love to you all from Karin and I.
